Charles R. Kohlenberger, P.E. - (Founder : 1926-1999)
President of Kohlenberger Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc. 1969-1999. The firm
specializes in the design of food processing plants and systems, industrial refrigeration and
freezing, cold storage warehouses, incineration and pollution control studies and systems,
thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis. Cogeneration feasibility/analysis, HVAC systems,
energy savings analysis and audits, energy management systems, long range planning, forensic
engineering, corporate consultation. Mr. Kohlenberger earned a Mechanical Engineering degree
from the University of California, Berkeley, California professional registration, holding memberships
in professional societies and was the author of several publications. His background also included
many years as president of a pioneer industrial refrigeration equipment manufacturing corporation 
bearing his name.
September 1993 to Present -  Established KACE Energy Corporation, affiliate of Kohlenberger 
Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc. Providing project development, complete turnkey, fully 
financed Gas Turbine Inlet Air Cooling systems, GTG enhancement for the power generation industry.
May 1969 to Present - Established Kohlenberger Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc. Practice
in the general area of food, cold storage, petrochemical, industrial refrigeration, food processing 
plant design, process drying, incineration and pollution control, feasibility studies, corporate consultation 
and analysis. 
June 1959 - April 1969 - President of Kohlenberger Engineering Corporation, Fullerton, California. 
Pioneer company, manufacturer of full line of compressors, coolers, valves, heat exchangers, pressure
vessels for the food, petrochemical, cold storage, ice making, and freezing industries. As president, 
duties and responsibilities covered the entire range of management challenges (i.e. finance, sales, 
production and engineering) working through department heads of the major divisions.
Negotiated acquisition of two companies which became wholly owned subsidiaries with allied lines of 
equipment. February 1969, negotiated the sale and merger of Kohlenberger into Morehouse Industries, Inc.
Vice President Marketing/Sales - Planned and implemented marketing and engineering activity, 
established sales representative organization and supervised direct sales engineering force in several 
sales offices. Negotiated contracts with large national users. Launched development of total package systems 
including building design, construction, and supervision. Established relationship with advertising agency to
handle advertising and public relations. Managed effort of creating entire new catalog for expanded product line.
Vice President - Engineering - Managed engineering and R & D groups including the product and systems 
engineering efforts. Conceived new products and re-engineered existing products to meet the needs of industry. 
Designed systems utilizing proprietary products. Made feasibility/trade-off studies for users to justify system 
purchases.
July 1948 - June 1959 - Kohlenberger Engineering Corporation held various positions; Assistant to the President, 
Mechanical Project Engineer, Design Engineer. Designed refrigeration machinery and equipment for all types of 
systems, including cold storage, food freezing, ice making, low temperature test chambers, and ground support 
equipment for the military.
